This summer is undeniably Margot Robbie‘s season to shine, with her Barbie movie creating waves of success and her chic Barbiecore outfits from its press tour sparking style ideas amongst fans.

This week, the Oscar nominee, 33, has won the hearts of many yet again with her “gracious” act of stopping on the red carpet to speak with a deaf fan in sign language. A “touching” video has recently gone viral on social media, with people expressing their admiration for her “incredible gesture.”

At the London premiere of her film Amsterdam last year, Robbie received a paper with sign language signs on it, as a fan was trying to speak with her. She asked, “For me?” before exclaiming, “I know it!”

Although Robbie never publicly mentioned her skill in sign language before, the Babylon actress handed her items to an aide and began signing the alphabet with a fan.

She went on to tell them that that it was “nice to meet” them, and then they took a selfie together to seal the moment. On TikTok, many fans began commenting about the resurfaced clip this week after it racked up millions of views while Robbie and the Barbie movie is trending.

“I think its australian or british sign!!! that is so cool!!!!” one fan wrote, explaining that the I, Tonya star wasn’t speaking American Sign Language as many might have thought.

“She really took time to free her hands and communicate with a fan to make them seen. she’s so precious,” another wrote. Someone else agreed, replying: “so excited to seeing the world catch-up with my favorite producer in hollywood. actress, producer, businesswoman, incredible human being.”

In recent months, Robbie has been creating a great deal of buzz through the stylish ensembles she has been wearing at various events for the promotion of Barbie.

Directed by Greta Gerwig, the film has already earned a record-breaking amount of $162 million since its July 21st release, making it the highest grossing movie directed by a woman, as reported by Variety.

Alongside Robbie, actresses like America Ferrera, Issa Rae, Hari Nef, Emma Mackey, Dua Lipa, Sharon Rooney, Ana Cruz Kayne, Alexandra Shipp, and Kate McKinnon help bring the Mattel icon to life as Robbie's character's fellow dolls and human friends, with Ryan Gosling playing the part of Ken.

(We're crossing our fingers for a sequel!)
